Nell Beckerman Cross

Nell Cross Beckerman is the author of the poetic and sensory book, Forests: a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection, ALA Notable, Green Earth Book Award Longlist, NSTA-CBC Outstanding Science Trade Book, and first place winner of the CALIBA Golden Poppy in Children’s Nonfiction. Nell grew up in California peeking into tidepools with her scientist father and borrowing stacks of books with her librarian mother, so now she loves exploring outside and dreaming up stories.
