PB Author
Mary Boone has ridden an elephant, jumped out of an airplane, hung out backstage with a boy band, and baked dozens of cricket cookies – all in the interest of research for her books and magazine articles. She’s written more than 70 nonfiction books for young readers, the most recent being BUGS FOR BREAKFAST: How Eating Insects Could Help Save the World (Chicago Review Press) and SCHOOL OF FISH (Albert Whitman). She’s got two more picture books on the horizon: PEDAL PUSHER (Henry Holt & Co., 2025) and FLYING FEMINIST (Andersen Press, 2026).
