Kirby Larson

A snippet of a family story transformed Kirby Larson from history-phobe to history fanatic; her debut historical novel, Hattie Big Sky, earned a Newbery Honor and she’s pursued her passion for historical fiction with titles such as Hattie Ever After, the Dogs of WWII series, and the Audacity Jones books. Ironically, this history lover’s most recent titles are contemporary fiction, including Gut Reaction, which is co-written with her daughter Quinn Wyatt and the second entry in the Shermy and Shake series, Shermy and Shake: The Not-So-New Kid. Kirby lives in Kenmore Washington with her husband Neil and naughty dog Raleigh.
