Colleen Paeff starts every book with a sense of wonder. Whether exploring the intersection of pollution and infrastructure, delving into the science of synchronous fireflies, or describing the experience of a late-night puffling rescue, she aims to provide readers with equal doses of information and awe. Her picture book The Great Stink: How Joseph Bazalgette Solved London’s Poop Pollution Problem won a Robert F. Sibert Honor Award and a California Young Reader Medal. Her books have appeared on Best of the Year lists from the New York Public Library and Kirkus Reviews among others. She lives in Los Angeles, CA.
