Amy Hevron loves exploring nature, birdwatching and baking tasty treats from her home in Seattle, Washington. She is the author-illustrator of City of Leafcutter Ants, The Longest Journey and her Tiny Habitats series which includes Log Life, a New York Public Library Best Book and recipient of the Pacific Northwest Book Award. Amy is also the illustrator of several books, including Can You Hug a Forest, written by Frances Gilbert, The Tide Pool Waits written by Candace Fleming, and Tree Hole Homes written by Melissa Stewart.
